MACV Employee Spotlight – Ajay Vogar

Feature Story

This week we are featuring Ajay Vogar.

Ajay currently serves in the Minnesota Air National Guard, and he was recently redeployed to serve at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Ajay finds MACV’s work of supporting Veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness extremely rewarding, especially during the pandemic when the homeless veteran population spiked. Ajay states that there is no shame in a Veteran experiencing homelessness.

“When we needed you, you defended us. It’s our time to defend your stability and prevent you from homelessness.” Ajay Vogar

Ajay has served Veterans at MACV as a housing case manager for three years and is looking forward to many more years. Ajay shared he “was drawn into this work by the mission; being a service member myself, and one with many years of human service background, I thought this would be a part of a greater fulfillment of my  purpose to serve humanity.”

Outside of MACV, Ajay enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He is an avid learner and likes to travel and volunteer in his community.

Ajay, we thank you for your service to our country and your service to our community.
