The Duluth Women of Today hosted a Veterans Day ceremony at West Duluth’s American Legion Post 71.

DULUTH — It was a chance to honor our veterans and to say “thank you” as the Duluth Women of Today hosted a Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday at West Duluth’s American Legion Post 71.

Veterans from all branches of the United States military attended, along with family and friends. The event, which started at 11 a.m., featured speakers, performances from the Spirit Valley Drum and Bugle Corps, musician Bill Bastian, bagpiper Kerry Welsh, firing of rifle volleys, food and more.

The master of ceremonies was Neill Atkins of Cetera Advisor Networks, while Paul Pederson of Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans delivered the keynote speech. U.S. Congressman Pete Stauber also spoke.
