Duluth takes time out to honor veterans Kim North November 13, 2023 News The Duluth Women of Today hosted a Veterans Day ceremony at West Duluth’s American Legion Post 71. Dan Williamson / Duluth Media Group DULUTH — It was a chance to honor our veterans and to say “thank you” as the Duluth Women of Today hosted a Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday at West Duluth’s American Legion Post 71. Veterans from all branches of the United States military attended, along with family and friends. The event, which started at 11 a.m., featured speakers, performances from the Spirit Valley Drum and Bugle Corps, musician Bill Bastian, bagpiper Kerry Welsh, firing of rifle volleys, food and more.
