Providers gather at CHS field to support Minnesota veterans for ‘Summer Salute’

ST PAUL, Minn. — A step was made Tuesday towards connecting Minnesota veterans with vital resources.
Dozens of service providers gathered at CHS Field to support veterans from across the state, offering help with everything from housing and healthcare to legal support and employment connections.
It is all part of the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans’ third annual Summer Salute.
“To see the hope in their eyes when they’re leaving here is rewarding for all the volunteers, all the vendors, all the staff that are working here,” said Jon Lovald with MACV.
Seventy-six providers were there helping veterans Tuesday, which organizers say is a significant increase from last year.
