This week, we are featuring Peg Jarzynski!
At MACV, staff across the state work every day to connect Veterans and their families with stable housing and the services they need to move forward. Peg is part of that work as a Housing Stability Case Manager in the metro, helping Veterans secure housing and identify the services that will support long-term stability.
In her role, Peg works one-on-one with Veterans to understand their situations and connect them with support. Each Veteran’s path is different, and Peg helps by starting with housing and then working with them to address other needs that help them get back on track.
“Our Veteran community needs our help. They chose to protect us and our freedoms; it is time we showed them the same now that they are home.” -Peg Jarzynski
Peg was drawn to MACV after learning about the position from a friend and a MACV housing stability case manager, Amy Wicklund. With a family deeply connected to military service and having supported a close friend deployed to Kuwait by sending care packages to their unit, Peg knew this role would allow her to give back to a group she holds close to her heart. “Ending Veteran homelessness is so incredibly important,” Peg said. “Knowing that I am helping them is such an honor.”
Before joining MACV, Peg spent much of her career in healthcare, working for 12 years as a surgical assistant and technician. She also worked in banking, served as a clinic coordinator in medical offices, and supported Veterans pursuing higher education while working in the Registrar’s Office at Concordia University.
Outside of work, Peg enjoys paper crafting and has spent more than ten years creating projects with her Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. She also enjoys spending time in her craft room watching the wildlife on her property, working in the flower beds with her husband, and following a YouTube creator who is renovating a château in France.
Peg, we thank you for your service to our community!
