New Affordable Veteran Housing in Ramsey County

In the heart of Ramsey County, a beacon of hope shines bright for Veterans needing a place to call home. A new affordable housing building in New Brighton will open its doors to Veterans by late April 2024. This project marks a significant step forward in addressing the critical need for accessible and affordable housing for those who have served our country.
The building comprises 11 units and is currently undergoing light renovations to prepare for its new residents. The structure’s solid condition at the time of purchase has made these updates swift, ensuring that the homes will be ready to welcome Veterans in just a few short months. This project was made possible through the strategic use of Veterans Supportive Housing Opportunities (VSHO) funds administered by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA), highlighting the collaborative effort to support Veterans living in Minnesota looking to rebuild their lives.
Located in New Brighton, the development is ideally situated to provide Veterans with a safe and comfortable living environment and easy access to necessary services and community resources.
This building is part of a broader movement across the Twin Cities and Ramsey County to address the pressing issue of Veteran homelessness and housing instability. Stable, affordable housing is foundational to Veterans’ well-being, providing a roof over their heads and a sense of security and dignity.
As the project progresses, we will continue to share updates and stories of impact, celebrating each step forward in this vital mission. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our Veterans, honoring their service with action and support.
