MACV Welcomes Michael Wickman as President and CEO

The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Michael Wickman as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Wickman brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across military, government, and community settings, including strategic planning, organizational leadership, governance, and partnership development.
Most recently, Wickman served in senior leadership roles with U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF), including Chief of Staff and Deputy Commanding General. He previously held leadership roles with the Minnesota National Guard and the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division, where his responsibilities included large-scale operations, organizational readiness, financial oversight, and collaboration with military, government, and civilian partners.
Wickman holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the University of St. Thomas. He has also served in board, advisory, and volunteer roles with organizations in Minnesota.
Wickman succeeds retiring President and CEO Neal Loidolt and will lead MACV as the organization continues its statewide work to end Veteran homelessness. As President and CEO, he will oversee MACV’s strategic direction, operations, partnerships, and continued efforts to help Veterans across Minnesota achieve long-term housing stability.
