The Minnesota State Fair celebrated its 15th annual Military Appreciation Day, bringing together Veterans, service members, military families, and organizations from across the state.

This year’s theme, “Your Neighbors, Our Community – Honoring All Service Members,” recognized the Minnesotans who have served and continue to live, work, and contribute in communities across our state.

MACV was proud to be part of the day at Dan Patch Park, connecting with Veterans, military families, and fairgoers. Visitors stopped by to meet our team, spin the wheel, and learn more about MACV’s work helping Veterans rebuild their lives and find stability in communities throughout Minnesota.

The celebration also gave MACV an opportunity to share our mission beyond Dan Patch Park. MACV COO Jon Lovald joined Adam & Jordana live on WCCO Radio from the State Fair to talk about MACV’s work across Minnesota and celebrate Military Appreciation Day.

The theme of this year’s event closely reflects what we see through our work every day: Veterans are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and community members. Ending Veteran homelessness is a statewide effort rooted in strong communities and connections to the resources Veterans need to move forward.
