National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day
“Our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met.”
This quote comes from a dedication stone in the National Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.; a fitting quote for “National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.” Today, MACV remembers the sacrifices of the 5.8 million Americans who served during the three years of the hard-fought war. Between June 25, 1950, and July 27, 1953, over 36,000 Americans died and 103,000 more were wounded. You are not forgotten!
