Celebrating Leadership and Sharing Solutions at the NCHV Conference

Kim North

Feature Story

Several MACV staff proudly participated in the 36th Annual National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) Conference in Washington, D.C., the nation’s largest gathering focused on ending Veteran homelessness.

The conference brought together service providers, federal partners, researchers, advocates, and community leaders from across the country to share best practices, strengthen partnerships, and advance solutions for assisting Veterans experiencing homelessness.

MACV was honored to contribute to these important conversations by presenting on topics including trauma-informed care, meeting the needs of women Veterans, creative and strategic storytelling, partnerships, and collaborative housing efforts. Our team shared Minnesota’s approach to making Veteran homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring while learning from leaders and organizations across the nation.

We also proudly celebrated MACV President and CEO Neal Loidolt, who received the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans’ Meritorious Service Award. This national recognition honors Neal’s outstanding leadership and dedication to ending Veteran homelessness. Under his guidance, MACV has helped build one of the nation’s most effective responses to Veteran homelessness through collaboration, innovation, and strong statewide partnerships that help Veterans access stable housing and long-term support.

Congratulations to Neal on this well-deserved honor, and thank you to Amanda Hooper, Jon Lovald, and Kim North for representing MACV as presenters, sharing expertise, insight, and innovative ideas with a national audience.
