MACV Employee Spotlight – Christine Bridgeman
This week we are featuring Christine Bridgeman.
Christine is not a Veteran, but, she has uncles, a sister, a nephew, and an ex-husband who served. All branches are covered, excluding Space Force!
At MACV, Christine is the Outreach Program Manager. She found her “fit” working with unhoused people when she was asked to manage an adult foster care home, and she believes her previous experience in the hospitality field helps her connect with others. Christine’s passion for working with people is ideal for her current role
“Homelessness forever changes you. The skills it takes to survive are not always socially compatible. This population is resilient, resourceful, and persistent. When I find myself challenged by a client’s response, I try to understand why a certain “skill” worked for them in their past or while unhoused.” Christine Bridgeman
Christine loves working at MACV and finds “when any team houses a Veteran, whether through transitional or permanent housing” rewarding. She also shared, “it is exciting to be a part of an organization that makes big investments to make our mission of ending Veteran homelessness a reality.”
Outside of MACV, Christine enjoys spending time with her adult children. She loves cooking, gardening, playing cards, and reading for fun.
Christine, we thank you for your service to our community!
