Home Plate Heroes Hit It Out of the Park for Housing

A huge thank you to the Minnesota National Guard for giving us the stage at Armed Forces Appreciation Day! It was an incredible opportunity to highlight the partnerships that make our work possible and to recognize the communities that step up for Veterans in Minnesota.
This year, we were proud to present the Home Plate Hero Award to the City of Eagan. Their leadership and support have been key to the success of the Veteran Village project, which is creating new housing opportunities and stability for Veterans. We shared this honor with our valued partners at the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, whose dedication and commitment continue to push projects like Veteran Village forward.
We also celebrated our ongoing Home for the Holidays partnership with the Minnesota Twins and WCCO & CBS News Minnesota. This initiative has become a powerful tradition, connecting Minnesotans during the holiday season and ensuring Veterans across the state have a safe place to call home.
Days like this remind us that no single organization can end Veteran homelessness alone. It takes communities, nonprofits, businesses, and local governments working together—each playing their part. When we join forces, we’re not just building housing. We’re building stability, dignity, and hope for those who have served.
We’re grateful to every partner, supporter, and community member who continues to stand with Veterans. Together, we are proving what’s possible—one project at a time.
