MACV Veteran Story: Damon

Kim North
November 19, 2024
Feature Story

Housed Navy Veteran Damon struggled with addiction post-military, leading to homelessness and job loss. After a life-changing car accident in March 2022, he checked into Dakota County Jail, later attending the St. Cloud Rehabilitation Center. With support from his MACV case managers, he moved into Men’s Transitional Housing, eventually securing his own home.

Now studying cybersecurity at Dunwoody College, he plans to secure a job through Marsden. Damon encourages those facing similar challenges to seek help from organizations like MACV for support and guidance.
