Veterans are invited to the annual Stand Down in Sioux Falls Sept. 21, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance, Inc., West Russell Street, Sioux Falls, SD.

Stand down is a military term that means a respite from battle. This stand down offers Veterans a respite from the hardships of living on the streets. On-the spot help will be available including community housing referrals, readjustment counseling, legal assistance, clothing, medical and dental treatment, and more.

Shuttle service will be available every half hour from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. from the Vet Center and VOA Dakotas Veteran Services Center.
