Built Together: Inside the Veteran Village Ribbon Cutting

Feature Story, Housing

Thank you to everyone who bundled up with us on December 3, 2025, for the Veteran Village ribbon cutting in Eagan, Minnesota. The cold didn’t stop people from showing up and that mattered.

That morning marked the official opening of Veteran Village, a project built through urgency, trust, and shared responsibility. It came to life because MACV,  Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, and Mount Calvary Lutheran Church worked side by side with a clear goal: create housing for Veterans exiting homelessness that is safe, stable, and grounded in dignity.

Veteran Village is now home to 22 units of trauma-informed, community-centered housing designed to support long-term stability not just a moment of relief. It reflects what’s possible when partners stay committed to ending Veteran homelessness and neighbors refuse to look away.

December 3 wasn’t just a ribbon cutting. It was a reminder that when Minnesota comes together, we build real solutions for our Veteran neighbors—and we keep going.
