MACV Employee Spotlight – Britani Hodges

This week, we are featuring Britani Hodges.
Britani came to MACV with twelve years of experience in both healthcare and hospitality. She worked for 4 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, primarily caring for hospice and dementia patients. The role strengthened my compassion, patience, and ability to provide attentive, person–centered care during some of life’s most sensitive moments. In addition, she has 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where she has cultivated a genuine passion for creating welcoming, memorable experiences for every guest. Britani shared that work strengthened her “ability to communicate effectively, anticipate needs and resolve challenges with care & professionalism.”
At MACV, Britani is a Long Term Housing Stability Case Manager. She works closely with the Veterans and their families to help them obtain and maintain stable housing. Her role includes connecting Veterans to community resources, supporting them with goals such as employment, budgeting, and healthcare & advocating for their needs. She focuses on building trust, providing consistent support, and helping Veterans move toward long-term stability & independence.
What drew Britani into this line of work is her passion for helping people during vulnerable times in their lives. She believes “everyone deserves safe & stable housing and someone in their corner.”
“Veteran homelessness is not just a housing issue, it’s about the men & women who served our country represent strength & sacrifice. Yet too many veterans face challenges after service that can lead to housing instability. These challenges often include PTSD, difficulty transitioning to civilian employment & limited support networks. Homelessness is rarely the result of a single choice. It’s usually the result of layered & complex circumstances.” -Britani Hodges
Britani finds MACV’s commitment to every Veteran having a safe & stable place to call home to be the most rewarding part of working for MACV. She shared, “Being a part of the team that leads with heart and purpose is an honor, and walking alongside Veterans as they rebuild, grow, and succeed is what makes this work meaningful.”
Outside of work, Britani is part of a monthly women’s circle that intentionally gathers to support, encourage, and uplift one another. It’s a meaningful space where we share life experiences, exchange resources, and celebrate each other’s personal & professional growth. Having that kind of positive, empowering community keeps her grounded and inspired. She also loves to travel and explore new restaurants because she finds that experiencing different cultures & cuisines and new environments helps her recharge & stay curious. It brings a fresh perspective to everything she does.
Britani, we thank you for your service to our community!
