New Episode of the Road Home Podcast Featuring MACV!

Feature Story, Housing

We are thrilled to be featured in a compelling episode from the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans: The Road Home podcast, generously sponsored by The Home Depot Foundation. This episode delves into the transformative power of partnerships in tackling veteran homelessness, spotlighting the remarkable initiatives led by the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV).

In this episode, podcast host Jae welcomes two remarkable guests: Sara Riegle, Vice President of Property Operations, and Jon Lovald, Chief Operating Officer of MACV. Together, they unfold the inspiring narrative of how collaboration with builders can be a game-changer in ensuring every Veteran has a place to call home.

MACV’s partnership with Lennar, Minnesota’s leading home builder, exemplifies this collaborative effort. This partnership has achieved extraordinary milestones, including the completion of 12 homes and 5 accessory dwelling units (ADUs), providing over 33,000 square feet of supportive housing for veterans. These homes are more than structures; they are symbols of hope and stability, built with the unwavering mission to eradicate Veteran homelessness.

The episode emphasizes the crucial role of partnerships between service providers and builders in addressing this critical issue. These collaborations create sustainable solutions that transform lives by sharing resources, expertise, and a shared commitment to community welfare. It is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when communities unite for the end of Veteran homelessness in Minnesota.
