MACV Employee Spotlight – Shaun Riffe
This week we are featuring Shaun Riffe.
Shaun served 25 years in the US Army. He enlisted as a Stinger Missile gunner and later became an Engineer Officer. After leaving the military, he started a small business focused on employing Veterans. Shaun believes “anyone who served in the armed forces brings skills and values that can only improve civilian companies that choose to take advantage of their unique backgrounds.” He was drawn to the way MACV connects with Veterans and employers with the goal of long-term stability. At MACV, Shaun is the Development Director.
“It’s always amazing to hear someone who wants to help, their connection to those who have served, and the excitement they get from knowing they can make a difference in their own special way.” -Shaun Riffe
Shaun finds having the unique opportunity to share the stories of the Veterans we serve and connect with people who want to help us achieve our mission to be the most rewarding part of working for MACV.
Outside of work, Shaun enjoys photography and traveling with his family. Shaun and his wife are a foster family and advocate for improvements to systems that support the children and families in these programs. He is also an active member of his local VFW and America Legion.
Shaun, we thank you for your service to your county and your community!
