MACV Employee Spotlight – Jayla Topel

Employment, Feature Story

This week, we are featuring Jayla Topel.

Jayla has a communications degree and a background in customer service and insurance analysis. She feels that the insurance position taught her to de-escalate arguments or frustrations and helped her efficiently use her empathy while still being able to assist.

Jayla has several friends who are Veterans or are currently serving, and she is passionate about assisting Veterans. At MACV, Jayla is an Employment Case Manager in the Metro Region.

“The population of Veterans experiencing homelessness is diverse and vast, and each case that we work with is unique. ” -Jayla Topel

She finds being able to say her job is meaningful and that “we are helping people who made sure that we are safe in our own country.” to be the most rewarding part of working at MACV.

Outside of MACV, Jayla loves to attend concerts, and she is a huge supporter of the queer community and enjoys attending events for organizations or individuals.

Jayla, we thank you for your service to our community!
