MACV Employee Spotlight – Tim Peterson

This week, we are featuring Tim Peterson.
Tim served for 15 years in the US Air Force and Minnesota National Guard mostly as a Seargeant. He was a Weapons Load Crew Chief on F-15’s and F-16’s in the USAF. He also served as a recruiting and retention NCO for the MNARNG in West Saint Paul where he served as the HHC Platoon Seargeant in 2-135 A Company Infantry. Tim has over 10 years of active-duty service.
As a Veteran, seeing the struggles so many of our services members face that he served with especially the ones that he was instrumental recruiting led Tim to work for MACV.

Currently, Tim is a Housing Stability Case Manager at MACV. Tim serving Vietnam Veterans that were treated terrible when returning from active duty to be the most rewarding part of working at MACV.
Tim is a married father of 5 children of which two he adopted and have special needs. Outside of work Tim is a politician, Prince Hall Free Mason, Shriner, Uptown VFW Veterans Service Officer, MN Pride Rotary Member. Former High School Teacher and Football coach. He also loves to drink margarita’s watching the sunset on the beach with his wife on Vacation and has traveled to nearly every country in SE Asia.
