MACV at the State Fair’s Military Appreciation Day!
We had an incredible day at the Minnesota State Fair for Military Appreciation Day. From rocking the Dan Patch stage to recruiting new volunteers, it was a day filled with unity, appreciation, and shared goals.
One of the standout moments of the day was our time on the famed Dan Patch stage. We were not alone; our fantastic community partner, Bridging MN, joined us. Bridging MN is a non-profit organization that empowers people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods for those pursuing housing stability. We shared stories of our combined efforts, success, and impact on Veterans exiting homelessness. The stories of resilience and recovery captivated the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
While the stage event was a significant highlight, much more was happening around the fair. We set out to share our mission and recruit new volunteers who could help us achieve our goals. And the response was overwhelming! Many fairgoers showed interest in volunteering and were eager to contribute.
Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to share our mission with thousands of people. We discussed the importance of ending Veteran homelessness and the critical role that organizations like MACV have in achieving that mission.
Military Appreciation Day at the Minnesota State Fair was a resounding success! We rocked the Dan Patch stage with Bridging MN, recruited new volunteers, and spread our mission far and wide. But most importantly, we honored the brave men and women who have served our country and took another step towards ensuring they have the support they need and deserve.
We look forward to many more days like this, filled with community, dedication, and progress!
