Lennar Provides Homes for Minnesota Veterans

Feature Story

When Lennar and MACV first partnered to build a home suitable for Veterans emerging from homelessness, MACV had already served Minnesota’s Veterans for over 25 years. We started by helping one vet in one house, gradually building on our success to now serve more than 1,400 Veterans and former service members each year. While we owned and operated supportive housing before partnering with Lennar, these properties were always existing buildings which often required extensive maintenance, upkeep, and lacked necessities for housing Veterans with disabilities, large families, or other common needs seen in our Veteran population.

Minnesota is on the verge of becoming the fourth state in the Union to bring a functional end to Veteran homelessness. We are extremely grateful to Lennar Minnesota and the Lennar Foundation for creating the template showing how partnerships between industry, nonprofits, and governments can work together in communities across this great country. Thanks to you, every home, every ADU, every bedroom we build, brings Minnesota closer to the day where every Veteran has a place to call home.
