Celebrating the Start Summer at the Fair with MACV

Feature Story, Outreach, Volunteers

The Kick-Off For Summer at the Minnesota State Fair is a fun way for many Minnesotans to celebrate the start of summer. This year, the MACV participated in the fair to show support for our Veterans and to raise awareness. The James Ballentine “Uptown” VFW – Post 246, was there, and poppies were sold, and Every Third Saturday sold fundraising t-shirts to benefit Veterans in Minnesota. It was a fun-filled weekend with a range of activities and attractions for all ages. If you missed out, don’t worry. Join us next year for the ultimate summer kickoff at the Minnesota State Fair!

This event was an opportunity to indulge in classic and unique State Fair food favorites, enjoy live music, activities and attractions, shop, and so much more. But stopping by our table was an opportunity to give back to our community, support local businesses and initiatives, and help Veterans experiencing homelessness in Minnesota.
