Feature Story
A warm, friendly discussion about community giving.

Edina Realty White Bear Lake hosted an early Thanksgiving lunch Thursday, November 18, where they shared a $1000 grant with MACV to help Minnesota Veterans experiencing homelessness.

MACV’s Kate Brune shared recent success stories and outlined the organization’s ongoing housing initiatives. “Your giving makes a real difference in the lives of Minnesota Veterans in their time of desperate need,” said Brune. “This single grant will pay for a month’s mortgage for someone behind in payment, several months of utility bills for a Veteran family when it’s cold, or nearly a month’s hotel stay for a Vet living on the street.”

MACV joined companion social support organizations from the area, engaging attendees and the Edina team with what’s been going on in the realm of caring for homeless Veterans and other vulnerable groups in the region.

The essentials

MACV thanks Edina Realty White Bear Lake for graciously hosting our team. We wish them continued success and look forward to future collaboration.
