Celebrating Our Volunteers: MACV’s 2nd Annual Appreciation Event

Feature Story, Volunteers

Thank you to everyone who joined us for MACV’s 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event! It was a joy to unite and celebrate the people who power our mission—our volunteers. Your time, energy, and compassion make a real difference in the lives of Minnesota Veterans.

In 2024, 940 volunteers from 44 organizations supported MACV. Whether you assembled move-in kits, hosted fundraising events, coordinated donation drives, helped at our properties, or just showed up where we needed you—you helped create real opportunities for Veterans to find stability and home.

During the event, we also recognized some truly standout efforts with our special awards. These honors highlight individuals and groups who’ve gone above and beyond to make a lasting impact. From organizing large volunteer teams to building long-standing partnerships, these awardees represent the best of what’s possible when people step up to serve others.

Each award tells a story of commitment—quilts handmade with care, holiday gift bags packed and delivered with love, properties transformed by hard work, and events made possible by dedicated planning and follow-through. These moments and memories show what volunteerism looks like at MACV: deeply personal, consistently generous, and always community-driven.

To everyone who volunteers with MACV, thank you. You are at the heart of this work. We’re proud to walk alongside you and excited to keep building together in the year ahead.
