Breaking Ground on the 15th Housing for Heroes Home

Housing

We broke ground on our 15th Housing for Heroes home, a future space for Veterans exiting homelessness in Ramsey County. This project marks a decisive moment: Ramsey County is the final county in Minnesota still working toward the effective end of Veteran homelessness.

But this milestone isn’t the finish line. It’s the foundation.

A foundation of stability, dignity, and permanent housing. Every home brings us one step closer to making Veteran homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring statewide.

We’ve seen the impact of these homes firsthand. Veterans like Malcolm, who now lives in one of the Housing for Heroes homes in Hennepin County, are rebuilding their lives with the safety and consistency of stable housing. After experiencing housing insecurity, Air Force Veteran Malcolm and his family have a place to call their own—a base for reconnecting with family, accessing health care, maintaining employment, and planning their next steps. His story reminds us why this work matters.

We’re proud to partner with Lennar Minnesota and the Housing First Minnesota Foundation—partners who continue to show up, dig in, and align their teams with ours to create real, lasting change.
