2025 Homeless Day On The Hill

Kim North
March 13, 2025
Feature Story

MACV joined hundreds of community partners at Homeless Day on the Hill, uniting to advocate for shelter, affordable housing, income protections, and housing support for the Veterans we serve across Minnesota.

The day kicked off with an inspiring rally featuring Lt. Governor Flannigan who spoke about the importance of empathy and showing up to support ending homelessness and highlighted the progress made in 2024. After the program, we met with state and house representatives at the Capitol and surrounding buildings. It was a chance for the MACV staff, partners, and individuals with lived experience to share their stories, statistics, and make an impact.

The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless organizes Homeless Day on the Hill, and you can see their full policy agenda by clicking here. If you missed this advocacy opportunity, don’t worry, you can join us in April for Veterans Day on the Hill!
