The Veteran Stand Down offers a wide range of services and resources. Agencies will be on site to aid any Veteran who is insecure about housing, food, clothing, employment, physical health, mental health, alcohol and/or substance abuse.

In addition, financial advisors, education guidance counselors, and legal advisors will be available. Veterans and their families can also participate in recreational activities and receive hot meals. The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Stand Down is a collaborative effort between local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses. It is open to all Veterans, regardless of discharge status, and is free of charge.
