2024 Point-In-Time Count Veteran Command Center

The PIT Count will begin Wednesday, Jan. 24. Veteran Service Organizations will have a 24-hour Command Center located at the VA Community Resource and Referral Center in Minneapolis.

Staff at the Command Center will be equipped to provide the following services:

Immediate Veteran service verification (this includes National Guard and Reserves, regardless of one’s length of time in the service or the discharge they received).
Immediate transportation to Command Center.
Screening for Veteran Programs – this could include, but is not limited to:
Rental subsidy programs (HUD-VASH, Shallow Subsidy, and MNVEST).
General wellness services.
A hot meal and shower.
Veterans experiencing unsheltered homelessness in the Twin Cities Metro Area are welcome to call the Command Center on January 24th for a ride to the Center and to discuss services.
Service providers and volunteers conducting PIT Count Surveys should be prepared to connect unsheltered individuals who identify as Veterans with the CRRC Command Center.
Veterans willing to come to the CRRC Command Center will receive a $10 gift card.
