DULUTH, Minn.– Bayfront Festival Park will be filled with the sounds of rock and roll this weekend

Tribute Fest, put on by Campbell Productions is a two-day event featuring around 20 bands.

Starting Friday, tributes to hit bands such as Motley Crue and AC/DC rock the stage.

The music festival raises awareness and funds for homeless veterans.

Veterans, active service members and their families get in free to the event.

It’s not just about the music, local organizations that assist and support veterans were spreading awareness about their services, including Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.

“We offer housing, employment, legal services. We can be the program that can help pay your rent, keep you in your housing, help you find housing. A lot of homeless vets that are still out there, some aren’t ready to come in yet, when they are, we are here to try to help them,” Paul Pedersen, Housing Stability Program Manager with MACV.

The sound continues tomorrow with more cover bands hitting the stage, including a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot kicking things off at noon.
