Support Team MACV Runners!
Supporting our Veterans is not just about acknowledging their service; it’s about understanding and addressing the challenges they face post-service. This includes helping those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) is an organization dedicated to supporting Veterans, and this year, several brave and passionate individuals have stepped up to raise funds for MACV by participating in the Twin Cities Marathon Weekend.
One such individual is David Nguyen, an Army Veteran and MACV Subsidy Director. David is taking on the marathon and is grateful for the opportunity to raise funds to support veterans and their families exiting homelessness in Minnesota. You can donate to David’s fundraising campaign here.
Another participant is Eric Lindell. He has experience working with the homeless community and believes veterans deserve better than living on the streets. Eric is running the marathon, and you can contribute to his campaign here.
Sophia Gossard is a member of the MACV staff and works with our justice-involved Veterans. Sophia’s commitment to helping Veterans find and maintain housing despite barriers convinced her to join the MACV team, and she is running the marathon. You can support Sophia’s effort here.
10-mile runner Sarah Packingham joined Team MACV to support veterans looking to rebuild their lives. She sees training and running as the least she can do to support veterans who have served our country and sacrificed so much. Click here to help Sarah reach her fundraising goal.
