Support Team MACV Runners!

Causes, Feature Story, Ways To Give

Supporting our Veterans is not just about acknowledging their service; it’s about understanding and addressing the challenges they face post-service. This includes helping those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) is an organization dedicated to supporting Veterans, and this year, several brave and passionate individuals have stepped up to raise funds for MACV by participating in the Twin Cities Marathon Weekend.

One such individual is David Nguyen, an Army Veteran and MACV Subsidy Director. David is taking on the marathon and is grateful for the opportunity to raise funds to support veterans and their families exiting homelessness in Minnesota. You can donate to David’s fundraising campaign here.

Another participant is Eric Lindell. He has experience working with the homeless community and believes veterans deserve better than living on the streets. Eric is running the marathon, and you can contribute to his campaign here.

Sophia Gossard is a member of the MACV  staff and works with our justice-involved Veterans. Sophia’s commitment to helping Veterans find and maintain housing despite barriers convinced her to join the MACV team, and she is running the marathon. You can support Sophia’s effort here.

10-mile runner Sarah Packingham joined Team MACV to support veterans looking to rebuild their lives. She sees training and running as the least she can do to support veterans who have served our country and sacrificed so much. Click here to help Sarah reach her fundraising goal.

Michael Lamer is running the 10-mile race and is hoping to help MACV end Veteran homelessness for good in Minnesota! You can click here to support Michael!

James Dunleap is running the marathon and is proud to support an organization that helps veterans and their families find stability in a place to call home. You can help James reach his fundraising goal here.

10-mile runner Aaron Shaffer works closely with MACV and has gotten to know some of the MACV staff through his job at our partner Avivo! He hopes that someday homelessness will be eliminated for everyone. Click here to help him reach his fundraising goal!

Julianne Sticha is running the marathon and knows the importance of supporting those who served our country. She is impressed by the holistic approach MACV uses to meet the unique needs of every struggling Veteran in Minnesota. Support Julianne here.

10-mile runner Gabriella Hedberg is dedicated to MACV’s mission of ending Veteran homelessness in Minnesota. Support Gabriella’s cause here.

Deb Kopas is running the 10-mile race to assist veterans at risk of homelessness. You can contribute to her campaign here.

Marathon runner Alyssa Ty knows many combinations of resources and tools can work together to support the long-term stability of the veterans MACV serves.  Help Alyssa reach her fundraising goal here.

Zoe Plechaty, another marathon runner, stands firmly behind MACV’s commitment to providing every Veteran with a dignified home. Help Zoe reach her fundraising goal here.

David Hamlar believes in supporting Veterans looking to rebuild their lives in Minnesota. Help David reach his fundraising goal here.

Marathon runner Olivia Gossard is participating in the marathon and is aware of the excellent work MACV does for homeless veterans in Minnesota. You can donate to Olivia’s campaign here.

Morgan Halaska is running the 10-mile race on Team MACV! Click here to support Morgan and MACVs mission to ensure Minnesota is a state where every Veteran has a suitable place to call home.

Lastly, you can support 10-mile runners Adam Peterson and Jeremiah Perterson, plus marathon runners Thomas Gossard and Jakob Studtmann, by clicking here.

Supporting these runners means supporting our Veterans. Let’s do our part to help ensure that every Veteran in Minnesota has a dignified place to call home. Every donation counts, no matter the size. Thank you for your generosity and support.
