Beginning July 1, 2026, a Special Guerrilla Units (SGU) or Irregular Forces applicant who wants to obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) must submit a completed VA Form 40-10007, application for pre-need determination of eligibility in a VA national cemetery.

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA), in partnership with the Minnesota Association of County Veteran Service Officers (MACVSO), will be hosting several “claims clinics” for applicants to receive assistance in the submission process.
