Lennar Minnesota’s Volunteers: Making a Difference for Veterans

Feature Story, Volunteers

Lennar Minnesota’s partnership with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) is a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration and dedication. This summer, Lennar’s volunteers have not only contributed their time and skills but have actively worked to transform the lives of Veterans transitioning from homelessness into stable housing.

Over the summer, Lennar Minnesota’s team has been involved in several volunteer projects to provide safe and secure homes for Veterans. With three completed projects already under their belt, 16 volunteers have generously donated over 55 hours of their time. These efforts have included building essential amenities like fences, which transform mere houses into true homes for Veterans in Minnesota. And the work still needs to be done! An upcoming project will see another five volunteers contributing over 30 hours to complete this vital work. This ongoing commitment ensures that more Veterans can take the crucial step from homelessness to stability with dignity and security.

Building a fence and other outdoor projects might seem small, but the impact is profound. It symbolizes a community rallying behind its Veterans. It turns a house into a home, where those who have served can begin to rebuild their lives with the peace of mind that they are supported and valued by those around them.

Lennar’s dedication doesn’t stop at volunteering. Their ongoing partnership with MACV and the Housing First Minnesota Foundation exemplifies their commitment to social responsibility and community development. It is a testament to what can be achieved when businesses and non-profits work hand-in-hand to address critical societal issues.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lennar Minnesota team for their unwavering support and commitment. Your volunteer efforts and so much more have made a significant difference in the lives of Veterans exiting homelessness in Minnesota. Your ongoing partnership is invaluable, and together, we are building not just homes but a stronger, more supportive community for all.

To Veterans, community members, and local organizations reading this—consider how you can get involved. Whether through volunteering, spreading the word, or supporting MACV and similar initiatives, every action counts. Together, we can continue to create safe havens and lasting change for those who have given so much. Thank you, Lennar, for leading by example and showing us all the power of community in action. Your commitment to Veterans is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of your efforts.
