Groundbreaking in Eagan Marks Major Step for Minnesota Veterans

Our Veteran Village groundbreaking marks a milestone—for this land in Eagan and Minnesota’s ongoing commitment to its Veterans.
The project we’re celebrating today is the result of years of hard work, collaboration, and a shared belief: every Veteran deserves a safe, stable place to call home.
At the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), we know we don’t do this work alone. Real progress happens when partners come together, align their missions, and act with urgency. That’s precisely what brought Veteran Village to life. This project exists because of the shared commitment of Lennar, Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, and so many community leaders and supporters who refused to settle for the status quo.
Veteran Village isn’t just a set of buildings—it’s a model. Built with trauma-informed design, rooted in community, and focused on long-term stability, it represents a bold step forward in how we support Veterans. It’s not just about getting people off the streets. It’s about creating real, lasting pathways to stability and belonging.
Ending homelessness isn’t a finish line. It’s a promise to keep showing up. To prevent future homelessness. To respond quickly when a Veteran needs help. And to never lose sight of the dignity every person deserves.
This project stands as proof of what’s possible when we lead with compassion and act with purpose. To everyone who gave time, talent, and heart to make this happen—thank you. You’re not just building homes. You’re building hope.
Veteran Village is a reminder that lasting change happens when communities come together and refuse to give up—until every Veteran has not just a place to live but a place to belong.
