DESCRIPTION:Join the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Veteran Village! \nYou are invited to join MACV\, Housing First Minnesota Foundation\, Lennar\, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church\, and our valued partners as we celebrate the grand opening of Veteran Village in Eagan—Minnesota’s first multi-unit housing complex designed to support Veterans and their families served by MACV. \nThis special event will take place on Wednesday\, December 3\, at 11:00 a.m. at 3930 Rahn Road\, Eagan\, MN 55122. Parking is limited\, so we encourage attendees to carpool when possible. The celebration will be held outdoors\, and we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather. \nThe morning will include a live performance of the National Anthem\, remarks from project leaders\, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening\, and guided tours of select units. Guests will also have time to connect with fellow donors\, partners\, and supporters who helped bring this project to life. \nWe are especially excited to share that Lenny\, the Veteran Village facility dog\, will be joining us to help mark this meaningful day! \nVeteran Village represents teamwork\, perseverance\, and the lasting impact of shared purpose—a place where Minnesota Veterans and their families can find stability\, community\, and hope. SUMMARY:41st Annual Homeless Memorial March and Service
DESCRIPTION:For 41 years\, hundreds of community members have come together for the Homeless Memorial March and Service. Join us on this milestone anniversary as we honor the memories of individuals who passed away in 2025: people who died while experiencing homelessness\, who were previously homeless\, or who were advocates. We will gather at Plymouth Congregational Church for the silent march and vigil and return to the church for the memorial service. The service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page for those who cannot attend in person. \nThursday\, December 18\, 2025 \n4:45 p.m. (time change) | Vigil and Silent March. The march route begins at Plymouth Congregational Church\, loops through Loring Park\, and returns to the church. This year\, we are gathering at 4:45 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m. \n6:00 p.m. | Service of Remembrance\nThe memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church and will be livestreamed at facebook.com/simpsonhousing. \n7:00 p.m. | Community Meal\nMeal hosted and served by Minnetonka United Methodist Church and Plymouth Congregational Church. \n
