Building Hope: The 15th Housing for Heroes Home Opens

We’re proud to celebrate another milestone with our incredible partners at Housing First Minnesota Foundation and Lennar—the ribbon-cutting of our 15th Housing for Heroes home.
Fifteen homes. Each one is a place where a Minnesota Veteran can begin again—with stability, safety, and dignity. That’s what this work is all about.
At first glance, this may look like just another beautiful new house. But it’s much more than a construction project. This home will soon belong to a Veteran in Ramsey County—the last county in Minnesota still working toward the effective end of Veteran homelessness.
That makes today deeply meaningful. Every project like this brings us one step closer to ensuring every Veteran in our state has a safe place to call home.
At MACV, we see every day what that stability means. When a Veteran gets the keys to their home, it’s not just about a roof or four walls—it’s about rebuilding a life. It’s about knowing where you’ll sleep, where you can cook dinner, and where you can start to heal. Housing provides the foundation for reconnecting with family and regaining a sense of purpose.
And none of this happens alone. It happens because of partnerships—because organizations, builders, and community members come together and decide that no Veteran should be left behind. Housing First Minnesota Foundation and Lennar have been incredible partners in this mission. Together, we’re showing what’s possible when people align around a common purpose.
Ending homelessness isn’t just about reaching a milestone—it’s about sustaining it. Each new home represents our ongoing commitment to make Veteran homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. If we stay the course, Minnesota will continue to be a national model for what’s possible: keeping Veterans housed, connected, and supported for the long term.
This is real, lasting impact—powered by partnership and built with purpose.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this home to life. Together, we’re not just building houses—we’re building a stronger Minnesota.
