MACV provides assistance to veterans throughout Minnesota. More than 12,000 veterans contact
MACV each year.
Close to 800 veterans become clients every year. These veterans, along with their families, are served comprehensively through MACV’s many assistance programs.
Following is the overall demographic breakout for MACV clients:
Men – 90%, Women – 10%
Veterans with families assisted – 25% of the total clients
Veterans from conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq – 20% of the total (although the number is rising)
Veterans with a disability – 70% of the total clients MACV provides a structured assistance program giving the veteran support to once again become a productive member of the community, confidence to rebuild relationships and knowledge that the community recognizes and cares about them and their services to our country. |
