Contribute to the Duluth Veteran's Place Campaign
MACV in partnership with the Northern Communities Land Trust (NCLT) is working on a housing project, Duluth Veterans’ Place. Supportive Housing for Homeless Veterans is a priority of St. Louis County’s Heading Home Plan, which sets a goal of ending homelessness in St. Louis County in ten years. The project will involve rehabilitation of two properties in West Duluth which will provide 11 units of permanent affordable housing with supportive services and 5 units of transitional housing for homeless veterans. MACV will be co-locating their Duluth offices at this site, which will allow MACV to bring other services on-site on a regular basis. Completion of this project is scheduled for late 2010.
To help support Duluth Veteran’s Place MACV is offering bricks that will be used to create a wall. Engraved bricks offer a unique opportunity to permanently honor or commemorate an individual, group or event that is important to you. Your brick becomes a lasting reminder that will be shared with every person who enters the courtyard. Click here for Duluth Veterans' Place Brochure
